City of Arts and Sciences
A journey into the future without leaving the city
If there is one place you cannot miss in Valencia, it is the impressive City of Arts and Sciences. More than just an architectural complex, it is an experience that will make you dream, learn and enjoy yourself at every turn.
An architectural gem
Designed by architect Santiago Calatrava, this modern gem is one of the city’s great landmarks. It will surprise you from the moment you see it, with its futuristic shapes, reflections on the water and vibrant atmosphere. During your visit, we will stroll among such iconic buildings as the Hemisfèric, which houses an IMAX cinema where science and excitement come together on the giant screen; the Science Museum, where touching, trying and experimenting are part of the learning process; and the Oceanogràfic, the largest aquarium in Europe, home to thousands of marine species. In addition, we can enjoy a break in the extensive gardens of the old Turia riverbed that surround the complex, or enjoy a break with views on one of its terraces.
Approximate duration: 2 hours (Outdoor tour of the different buildings in the City of Arts and Sciences, with explanations of their architecture and time for photos and to enjoy the site)
Option to combine the tour with access to one or more of the buildings in the City of Arts and Sciences: Príncipe Felipe Science Museum / Hemisférico (Imax film screening of your choice) / Reina Sofía Palace of Arts / Oceanographic (Europe’s largest aquarium).
Note: combined tours can last a full day or half day, depending on the choice and time available to each customer
